NEAL ARMSTRONG
Neal Armstrong is Head of US Real Estate Services within Alternative Investment Services. His responsibilities include working to implement the US real estate strategy for fund administration and growing the platform. Previous responsibilities included relationship management serving a number of real estate clients, accounting technical support to the real estate fund accounting teams, and support and guidance throughout the onboarding of new mandates. Prior to joining BNY Mellon in February 2015, Neal was a Director at Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management and Head of Fund Finance for Americas Alternatives and Real Assets. Prior to joining Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management in 2004, Neal was a senior manager in KPMG LLP's real estate audit practice.
Neal is a CPA and received a B.S. in accounting from Valparaiso University in 1992. He has been involved with the Accounting Committee of NCREIF since 2000 serving as co-chairman in 2011 and 2012 and co-vice chairman 2009 and 2010. From 2007- 2011 he served as a member of the NCREIF PREA Reporting Standards Council, and from 2014-2020 he sat on the NCREIF PREA Reporting Standards Board having served as Chair for 2015. Neal was appointed to the NCREIF Board in November 2018 and serves as Treasurer.
